Don't miss Live Saxophone & Carinet Music Every Monday & Thursday at 8PM in the big hall with Prof. Ricardo Villar #ricardovillarsax, one of the best, if not the best musician of Bariloche. He plays everything from Jazz to Rock/ Pop, just ask! You will not be disappointed, I promise!
The views from my room were lovely. Unfortunately, that was the only positive comment I can make about my stay. Overall, the hotel was poorly maintained with no air ventilation in the rooms, the room was always hot, pot holes in the floors, and a cracked bathtub. The male staff at the front desk were incredibly rude and dismissive. I left my health insurance card in the light slot. When I returned to my room after housekeeping was done, my health insurance card was gone. I asked a male attendant at the front desk to please mail it to me if found. He responded that the hotel would not be able to mail my card back to me since I live in the US. He blamed me for leaving my card in the room to begin with and appeared angry that I even asked. Therefore, removing private property by their staff was permissible since I shouldn't have left my card in the room? SMH Never again! Definitely, not worth the money!
high expectations for Cacique Inacayal based on the beautiful photos and positive reviews, but our experience was incredibly disappointing. First and foremost, the moment we walked into our room, we were hit with an awful smell—like mildew mixed with some kind of chemical cleaner that barely masked whatever was causing the odor. It was unbearable. We immediately asked the front desk if we could move to another room, but the staff was shockingly rude and dismissive. They told us they were fully booked and that there was nothing they could do, even though we could clearly see other guests checking in after us. The attitude of the staff was consistently unpleasant throughout our stay. Every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing them, and they seemed completely uninterested in helping guests. The hotel markets itself as a luxury stay, but the reality is far from it. The rooms are outdated, the hallways are dimly lit, and nothing looks as polished as it does in the online photos. It was a huge letdown. Our room was also torn up, had bugs in the room, and had black marks all over the floors and walls. Another issue—the hotel advertises free breakfast daily, yet when we ordered eggs, we were charged extra. When we brought it up to the staff, they just shrugged and said only certain items were included, but this was never mentioned anywhere. It felt misleading and cheap for a place that claims to be high-end. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Between the terrible smell in the room, the rude staff, the misleading advertising, and the complete lack of customer service, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other hotels in Bariloche—save yourself the frustration and book elsewhere.
