Our first stay at this amazing hotel. We purchased the beauty and the beast package and found the whole experience amazing from the start. The hotel is beautiful, the staff very friendly and welcoming (especially the guy in coffee shop, sorry can't remember his name) rooms clean and modern. Will definitely be staying here again. 11 out of 10.

Before booking Sofitel Adelaide, I did a lot of research, mainly looking for a hotel with a warm, indoor pool. However, the pool was quite cold, and worse, the room temperature wouldn’t go above 26.6°C, so we had to sleep in socks and coats. The breakfast was also quite disappointing. The shampoo and lotion were empty as well. The only real positives were the beautiful room view and the cleanliness, as the hotel is relatively new with a unique French-inspired design. Overall, considering it’s an international hotel chain, I expected much more. In my opinion, it felt more like a three star experience.

We stayed for just one night, checking in late around 8pm. We appreciated being granted a 2-hour late checkout. However, the overall experience was disappointing for a five-star hotel. We attempted to contact reception several times using the in-room phone, but no one answered. This made it difficult to make even simple requests. Breakfast was well below expectations. It appeared to be a buffet setup, and we served ourselves. Only afterward did a staff member provide a menu, which created confusion about the service style. Additionally, the cleanliness standards were concerning. One of the water glasses had a strong, unpleasant odor, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned properly. For a hotel of this standard, this was unacceptable. Overall, the service and quality did not meet the expectations of a five-star rating.
