The Point Resort

My husband and his mates stayed here for 3 nights last weekend and have come home raving about what a wonderful time they had. They booked a 3 bedroom waterfront unit which was lovely and clean. The lady on reception (Sharon) went out of her way to be of assistance to them for their stay. They have asked me to write this review on their behalf and said they were so appreciative of her help and would not hesitate recommending this place to others. Only a short walk to restaurants and shops.

Stayed here for a cousins wedding. First night we got a noise complaint and we said we were just talking the owner told us we’re loud because the windows were open. We were too scared to talk after that as walls are thin and you can hear everything outside every room. No air cons in the bedrooms only ceiling fans which make a ticking sound all the time. Staff not friendly. The couch in our room was ripped as it was quite old. Only positive we have is the location.

Stayed here for 7 weeks through a company booking and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. During my stay, hotel staff entered my room without notice and took photos — while I was still checked in. These images were later used to justify a $350 “general cleaning” fee, which was charged to my company after I had checked out. There were no damages, just a standard post-checkout clean. For a long-term guest, I expected better transparency and respect for privacy.
