Castlereagh Motor Inn

Viewed the reviews for this motor inn and thought we would give it a go based on all the positives. From ringing and speaking to Julie to book, arriving to a smile and welcome, a bit of a chat to leaving for home, the positive reviews were true. Large car park meant no parking on top of each other. Rooms were big. Facilities were modern. Large TV meant you didn't need binoculars to watch TV. Did I mention the hot strong shower? The shower was great. The beds were comfortable. The location is out of town so was very quiet at night, well quiet all the time really. The rooms were very welcoming. I'll stay again if I ever visit Gil again.

We’ve been coming to this stop ever since we’ve discovered it on our overnight from Melbourne to Queensland. It’s the best bang for buck with firm clean beds, easy late night check ins and early check outs, and quick access from the highway. It’s surprisingly quiet even though the main road is right there and the view from the window isn’t too bad! Green grass and trees with many birds waddling around. They’ve been slowly renovating the rooms I think cos the gray carpets have been replaced with wood like floors. A huuuuge improvement that makes the place feel clean. The bathrooms are functional and straight to the point, no fussing around with great shower pressure too. They also give you free waters and the fridge is super effective and cold, perfect for quick chilling drinks. Overall, Julie and staff have been great to us, and the guests appear to be great too - parking is safe and no one’s car has ever been broken into (knock on wood).

Although this is an old motel, the room is well appointed, well presented, and most importantly, beautiful and clean. A really lovely touch is the take away cups provided for customers to take a ‘traveller cuppa with them.’ We had a lovely chinese meal recommended by the receptionist. Great price snd value for money. Will definitely stay here again!! Karyn and Wayne.
