Edge Hill Clean & Green Cairns 7 Minutes from the Airport 7 Minutes to Cairns CBD & Reef Fleet Terminal

I was worried after reading the reviews but happy we checked this place out. The room has a safety chain, room was a bit musty but fine. Bed was clean and comfy, kitchen had tea, coffee and milk. The bathroom does have a bit of black but this place is cheap so you pay for what you get. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Lots of off street parking too.

Extremely disappointed 😟 Room wasn’t clean and shower and toilet was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. Still had something in a glass in the fridge that had been sitting there for a couple of days. Balcony still covered in ash and cigarette buts. Bed was so uncomfortable due to the springs poking through and pillows were mouldy. Fridge needed cleaning before I could put anything in, spilled milk had dried up and had to be scraped off. Entire roof had covered in mould and just painted over. Had to have a door closed due to the smell of cigarette buts on the shed roof off our balcony. Kids doing booms in the pool and running a muck around the pool area at 10pm onwards. Nothing like the photos of what we saw when booking.

Where do l start? The worst was getting up to a cockroach. I bought some Eucalyptus oil and wiped over all the bench areas to ensure it didn't return. Outdated room. The fridge didn't work. The carpet had lots of stains. Poor bedding, the mattress was ok but the pillows were all uncomfortable. The shower was outdated and still uses a shower curtain. No WiFi. There was no hanging space for clothes, only a draw in the bedside table. Pool looked horrid, not at all like the photos. I may have had the worst room in the complex, maybe cos l travelled alone... The price didnot reflect the 3 star rating. Overpriced for what was offered. Go elsewhere!
