Neil is a excellent host. Stayed for an extended period of time and the hospitality did not miss a beat. Breakfast provided is great and only a 5min walk to Fremantle markets and cafe strip. Can highly recommend.

Unfortunately, our $280 stay was not honoured at Hamptons Inn. There was an oversight on our behalf about dates (we thought we booked Saturday to Monday on a long weekend but the system defaulted to first available dates). When we arrived a week prior to our stay, Neil gloated in our faces about our mistake. However, he originally acted as though we could switch the dates for a different option, given that a Monday would not be suitable on a regular working week. He put all of the onus on us to change the booking, despite the booking system company advising that he needed to make appropriate changes in order for them to go through. He seemed to change his mind about honouring our booking, started ignoring our messages and backtracking, and eventually became plain rude. He called me to intimidate me into coming in on the days that I had already explained didn’t work for us due to other pre-planned commitments. He refused to honour the stay for different dates or to provide us with a refund. He was meeting with a potential buyer for the Inn on the day we met, which I think speaks to the fact that he has lost the passion and drive for his business. I would not recommend dealing with Neil as he became volatile very quickly. However, keep posted about any new potential owners in the future. Neil cancelled my booking so I was unable to leave a review via Booking.com.

I booked this as a suprise for my partners birthday celebration, dinner and a sunset boat cruise all sorted - then work/COVID changed our rosters and we couldn’t make the booking and even tho the policy didn’t allow for changes or cancelations - I contacted Neil owner via AGODA whom I’d booked through and he replied directly to me and said he understood and was happy to give me until March 2021 to rebook and to contact him when ready. So our rosters settled and I wanted to book in and use my accomodation as Neil had promised I could. I sent numerous emails to Neil to try and book a date which I received no responses too. I contacted AGODA hoping they could get a response from Neil and they also struggled to get a response - 3 weeks later Neil informed Agoda that they no longer wished to honour their agreement to rebook an alternative date. Hampton Inn can hide behind their policies but ultimately Hampton Inn are nothing but thief's and I will never stay at or recommend their establishment to anyone - EVER and if I could have given a zero I would have
