Great service. Breakfast was spectacular - and the amenities are beyond what I was expecting. Beautiful pool views to the mountains. Close to the slopes. The sauna room has multiple types of saunas each with a different purpose. Overall the room was comfortable with a modern bathroom, rain shower, heated floors, and his and hers sinks and bathrobes for wandering between the pool, spa, sauna, and hot tub.

The place is ideally placed in the village of Ellmau and in order to ski in/ski out. Aside of that your money would be better invested in another hotel in the area. The German/Austrian personal at the reception is quite arrogant and not very helpful (we got lost among the buildings). The rooms are not soundproofed AT ALL and you can’t lock the doors. The first night, we were in the main building and could not sleep because the music from the hotel bar was excessively loud (we could even tell which song they were playing). When we complain the next morning, they changed our room for a worst one (the bathroom was way smaller) and we had the same experience during the night: this time we could not only hear the bass from the hotel bar, but also the other guests and the cleaning lady at 6AM washing the staircases. When we checked out they didn’t made a gesture as an apology: aside of the 70e wine at the restaurant (that the waiter or less forced on us), we had 2 glasses of wines (btw even that they got it wrong when they poored us a Chardonnay instead of a Pinot gris) that costed 18e in total … when we asked to erase at least these from our bill it was refused. This is quite a shame, it would have been quite a small but nice gesture … but I guess paying ~1.400e for 2 nights was not enough to be considered important in this place.

the young woman today at the reception at 17:30 has been friendly. Until the royalblue blazered mid fifty short black haired woman appeared with an an extreme obnoxious and super unfriendly attitude. She lied into my face and turned around watering the plants in the lobby and left me - and I stayed at the hotel many times - standing being yelled at. IF someone from the owners are reading this revue, one should consider to not give her the senior position she so arrogantly abuses. NO recommendation for this hotel if this is the attitude towards customers. Don´t want to imagine how the attitude is towards the warm friendly staff.
