Hotel Schloss Mittersill

My girlfriend and I met an old friend and future business partner at this gem of the Austrian apls. We were greeted by Alexander who speaks English with native fluency. He showed us to our rooms and gave us a fascinating tour of this unique historical place. The view from our room was breathtaking. Housekeeping was outstanding. Wait staff at the restaurant and bar were all very kind, knowledgeable and efficient. We really enjoyed the spa and its facilities (heated outdoor pool, sauna and steambath, and a quiet room with long chairs overlooking the valley), which were great to enjoy after a long day of skiing. Our room was very cozy with comfortable bed and cute bathtub (shower pressure was excellent). The premises and services provided by the friendly stuff will satisfy the pickiest customers. We cannot wait to return and enjoy again.

A week after coming back home we are still thinking about that great time we spent in this hotel. The view and the area around are like a fairy tale, with very friendly personnel, delicious food, and an overall very relaxing atmosphere. Also a ski resort is very close by, which was also very convenient. The swimming pool in the spa was warm, despite being an open one. Nothing to complain about, simply very enjoyable days at a great place. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful castle, place and hotel. Before I worked there, I was a guest and can highly recommend it. The history of the place and the whos is who that were guests there is unique: from Clark Gable to Henry Ford Junior, from the Shah of Iran to Coco Chanel and so on....its very exclusive but accessible. Location and rooms are amazing, service can be improved, the owners are very dedicated and in the area there is much to discover, just amazing....you wont regret it. For a weeding, conference or just a romantic week-end or delicious dinner - there are many options (also vegan, vegetarian etc.) and a good wine carte and cocktail menue. All you can ask for. The rooms and suites have different charismatic names like Coco Chanel or Gina Lollobrigida, event cellar, spa area with swimming pool and terrace leave you in awe. Thes massages and different treatments are also very recommendable.
