This was a great place to stay for our family. The kids (ranging in age from 5 to 10 years old) loved the indoor play and swimming areas. Great views and lots to do. Also, with English as our first language, they were very accommodating and friendly!

Really good family hotel: excellent swimming pool, playgrounds and other entertainment for kids. Very good and friendly service. Very nicely maintained with flowers all-around etc. The only watch-out: don’t book a room facing the busy street - it’s rather loud!

Overall, the hotel facilities are nice but for the price paid, communication and guidance from staff needs improvement. It is probably a great place to stay in the summer or in the winter if you’re doing ski activities. We felt that for the price we paid, we should have been given better guidance and advice on non ski activities and the pool area should have been warmer. Pros: -Lots of activities for kids -Play room inside, playground outside, play area in a barn, animal farm, kids club, very nice and clean swimming poo with 2 bassins and fun slides -Lantern hike at night was very nice -Carriage ride was fun -Poney ride was lovely -feeding the animals was a great experience for the kids -Breakfast buffet with yogurts and muesli was very good. Juice machine to make fresh juices in the morning with veggies was great. -The rooms are spacious and cozy -Great children buffet -Snack time between 3 and 4 is very enjoyable and ables you to sit with other guest and meet new people. -Oberperfuss top of Ski Mountain was amazing and suitable for little kids: it had enough space to enjoy playing in snow, do small hikes and when ready to go down it had a great sledding lane of 4km or more suitable for little kids with possible breaks in between. We had an amazing time there. Cons: Communication from hotel staff was very minimal: -When we arrived we were not given any maps or information on the hotel; They didn’t explain anything at checkin; even though everything is provided on their app, it’s impossible to check every item on the app and go hunting for them in the resort. We didn’t know where anything was; we only discovered the play barn on day 3; and now upon reading other recent reviews on google maps I discover there was a forest playground accessible with bikes we never knew about. No clue where this was located. This is very disappointing. -No map of the the area was given; we were not there for skiing (kids too young) and were not given any advice (upon asking) of what we could do in the region. For instance we found out on the last day from other guests there was a famous high bridge we could have gone to in Reutte but we never knew about it despite us asking for recommandations to the hotel staff. -We asked about sledding activities to do with two young child (even a small hill where to have fun) but the staff didn’t seem to know. One staff recommended IMST; We wanted to change the scenery so we drove there but they didn’t have any sledding suitable for little kids under 3 (too steep). They recommended we go to the little ski area which is 5 mns from the hotel and even though there was snow, the lanes were closed for sledding and had been assigned as ski lanes so we couldn’t enjoy them. The only sledding option didn’t have a lift and we couldn’t walk up with the little kids. -the dinner menu was just average; the salad buffet was basic and we had the choice between 2 hot dishes which we didn’t find very tasty. We were only given a written menu in German until day 5 when we suddenly had an English menu and we only found out at that point we could order other items from the menu for a small extra charge. We wished we had known this from day 1; again, someone should have explained all of this to us. — the hotel in general but especially the dining room area was heated up way too hot. I had to drive to a store and buy short sleeves tops for the stay to be able to sustain the heat inside. Other guests confirmed to me feeling the same. -ironically, the pool area was not warm enough when one is wet: I constantly had to get out of the water to follow my son from the different bassins and slides and I felt very cold every time I had to get out of the water which was unpleasant. In addition, the air in the changing room of the pool area was freezing cold; it was horrible having to step in there to reach the showers and dry off after the pool and I was always afraid my kids would get sick from stepping wet into such cold air (you only feel this when wet; when dry the temperature feels fine).
