Our second stop on my first international vacation. 9 hours of driving and trying a place to stay with no reservations. Showed and had no idea it was an all-inclusive resort. Security lady did her job and just didn't let us in. My girlfriend (Brazilian) was able to convince her to call the main office for availability. We tried and had no luck Once we were in, we were amazed! Everyone was so nice and welcoming 🙏. Nestled in the middle of a forest, this place was breathtaking. There was a minimum 3 night stay, and we ended up staying 5 nights! Private beach, huge pools, and kids pool too. Very family oriented for those with younger children. Food was always available and delicious. The guys working the swim up pool bar and the stand-alone bar near the beach were great!
The hotel is beautifully located, overlooking the beach and turquoise water from the rooms. The rooms are spacious, although not renovated for a long time. The staff speak almost exclusively Portuguese and the wait for help /to get to the room because the lock is broken, to fix the air-conditioning, to get the redundant bed out of the room /additions for previous guests/ lasts between half and two hours. From early morning until late at night very loud music plays by the pool. The sound quality definitely does not match the amount of decibels produced. The noise in the rooms makes it difficult to fall asleep and relax. The air conditioning in the meeting rooms cannot be adjusted. It either works and is unhealthily cold or does not work and is stuffy. The meeting rooms have no windows.
the nature was amazing. the food in the hotel is mediocre and this was the worst part of our trip. We were also promised to get a refund for 2 nights of stay as we had to cut our trip short. however the hotel later on refused to honor their promise when expedia staff contacted them. this was very unfortunate and unfair since it was agreed with the front desk personel - Ms. Thais Bastos. I sure hope they realize their mistake and issue the refund as agreed. Quite upsetting.
