Hilton Toronto Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa

We stayed at the Hilton Markham late June/early July. The Hilton is and was one of the better hotels that I have stayed at in the area. Rooms are clean and above expectations. Some of the positives are: - very nice staff, housekeeping and maintenance - housekeeping gets its own line as they were exceptional and friendly - exceptional gym (Unionville Athletic Club) - close to everything and super convenient location - good shampoos, conditioners, and lotion - kitchenette had all necessities - hotel brunch was good - no access issues - parking was plentiful and spots were wide Some negatives - toilet was easy to plug - sink drained slow in bathroom - pool was a tad small and needed to be booked - no extra amenities such as shower cap, note pad, pen, bathrobes or extra blankets and pillows (1 pillow in closet) Overall great stay at the Hilton. They offer government discounts and the kitchenette was a nice touch for only $30 a night. It came with a full size fridge, freezer, apartment size dishwasher, 2 TVs and a fold out sofa bed. We will definitely stay here again

Not sure if I’m allowed to leave a review because I didn’t actually stay here. Booked 2 rooms for my potential clients, and they were pretty impressed by everything about this hotel. Spent most of my time at the lobby and the restaurant, where I was able to struck a deal with my clients. Feel like this is is my lucky place. On top of that, price is very reasonable, and the staffs at the restaurant and lobby are very helpful and polite.

The hotel location is nearby many economical yet good Chinese restaurants. Room is decently equipped and pretty quiet at night. It could have been another nice vacation stay with Hilton. Yet what amuses me is how unprofessional the staffs are at this establishment. We booked for a King bed suite, but we were given a double twin room. I understand that they were really busy that week, but we booked nearly 5 months ahead. So I don't think our room type was "booked out" that far ahead of time right? The next day, I requested that the sofa bed to be extended, at least then we can have a queen size bed. The staffer made note of that and reassured us that it would be done. Fast forward to the evening, we got back to our room and viola! Nothing was done. As I thought that was bad enough, I went down to the front desk to try to make the request again. Night time staff stared at me a bit, and just told me to extend the sofa bed myself... Now imagine this, what if a guest went back to the room, do as the hotel staff instructed and hurt him/herself in the process? Would this be the ground for a lawsuit since the guest acted completely on behave of the staff. The hotel can't even claim the guest was tempering with equipment without instruction. Even I can think of this possible scenario, I can't believe a traded hospitality professional can't
