Holiday Inn Santiago Airport Terminal by IHG

Decided to check in a hotel after I missed my flight and was to fly out the next evening. So we decided to book a hotel near the airport. It was a best decision made ever! The hotel bed was incredibly comfortable and gave me the best night’s sleep of my entire 3-week trip across South America. But i do have a small comment about the shower area. The floor was quite slippery, and I nearly slipped. It would be great if an anti-slip mat could be provided for added safety. Apart from that, It was absolutely a lovely stay

Right by the airport, between the national and international terminals. Checkin was pretty quick. The room was lovely, BUT it does lack international power sockets. It only has Chilean style power sockets, which, for a hotel based in an international airport is poor. Having said that, the airport itself is no better in this regard. I forgot to put a toothbrush in my carry on, but they gave me one, along with some toothpaste, so that was great :-) Didn't try any of the food offerings.

Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Location can’t be beat for an early morning flight. Everything else about the hotel was depressing. The lobby and room smelled, the bed linen was dingy, the rugs were filthy. The safe did not lock. We attempted to run water for tea through the coffee maker (as proscribed) four times before we gave up. Each time the cup contained black particles. The springs on the ratty black vinyl occasional chair were totally collapsed.
