Hotel Almirante Cartagena Colombia

Stayed for 9 days in April 2025. The hotel has a lot of charm; the lobby is comfortable and Spanish style. The rooms are comfortable and large for a standard king room; the bathroom is modern and in excellent repair. My only complaint with the room I had was that there wasn't enough draw space and the furniture needs updating. The staff is professional, friendly, and they exceeded my expectations. The breakfast while not exactly American style, is very good, and plentiful. They have service for the tables at breakfast, a very nice touch. I didn't use much of the amenities, but the pool area is very nice, and the gym is good. Security is excellent. This hotel is a great value, and I had a very comfortable to stay.

I really enjoyed my experience in this hotel: big and comfortable room, friendly staff, and convenient location. The gym is amazing: well equipped and large.

This hotel is at most 4 stars in any other country. The main reason of this claim is that I've stayed in 3 star hotel with rooms bigger than this one, the lack of basic amenities like bathroom robe, slippers, the bad quality of the flooring in almost all the hotel and in general a bad smell alll around. The staff in general tries to help, but due to rules imposed and the fact that management don't actually care about clients and they are not able to answer basic questions. My recommendations is don't expect to get what you payed for. For the same price there are a lot of other hotels better in the same area
