Palace Luxury Room

Clean, spacious, modern apartment, but with old-world charm, set in the historical centre of Split. Can't go wrong with the location here; step outside the door and you are in the literal heart of Diocletian's palace, with the cellars and Peristil right next to you. Apartment is made up of a large kitchen cum living room, large master bedroom (with a seriously comfortable double king sized bed), a small single room, and third room with two single beds, which leads out to the balcony. The balcony is small so you won't be sunbathing on it, but it's definitely great for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset (as a bonus in the morning you can often hear live classical singing from the vestibul across the way). Kitchen is modern and fully functional. There's also a small utility room with a washing machine. Toilet / shower is small but does the job. Though it is centrally located, it is just away from the main "strip" and as such is quiet. You can sometimes hear the dull murmur of music from the Riva and the rooftop bar across the way, but nothing intrusive. Aircon units are in main bedroom and living area, so you can keep the windows closed (the windows are modern double glazed). The host kindly met us on the Riva when we arrived and helped carry bags (it's a 3 minute walk from the Maketa grada). They spent time with us going over local restaurants and things to do and see, and were immediately responsive by text when we had one or two queries. They also let us store our luggage for the day after we had checked out. I would highly recommend the Heart of Palace apartment to anyone looking to stay in Split.
