Hello, My family and I just returned from a 7-night, 8-day stay at the Family Club at Grand Bavaro Princess, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. We were a group of 10. Myself, my parents, my sister and her husband, their two young daughters, my aunt, my cousin, and his wife, so we had a mix of ages and personalities, but this resort really managed to keep everyone happy. From the moment we arrived, the place felt like a tropical paradise. The grounds are lush and beautiful, and the check-in process, while a bit slow for such a big group, was warm and welcoming with refreshing drinks to start the trip off right. We stayed in the Family Club section, which I highly recommend for anyone traveling with kids. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-designed, with bunk beds for the little ones and plenty of space for everyone to relax. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything fresh each day, and the mini bar was always restocked. The resort offers a ton of dining options, the buffet had great variety (especially at breakfast), and the à la carte restaurants were solid, with the Japanese hibachi-style dinner being a family favorite and sushi. The only downside was that making reservations could be tricky, especially for a larger group, so definitely plan ahead. The beach was hands-down one of the highlights of our stay. It was wide, clean, and never felt too crowded, with soft sand and clear, calm water that was perfect for both kids and adults. The Family Club pool area was also great , safe and fun for the kids, but relaxed enough for adults to enjoy as well. There was always something happening entertainment-wise, from pool games to evening shows and live music. The entertainment staff was friendly and fun without being over-the-top. My nieces loved the mini disco in the evenings, and a few of the adults enjoyed spa treatments that they said were some of the best they’ve had. Getting around the resort was easy, with shuttle carts running frequently and walkable paths throughout. And above all, the resort was genuinely family-friendly. Every part of it seemed thoughtfully designed to make group vacations smoother. The staff were attentive, kind, and great with the kids, and the atmosphere struck a perfect balance between lively and peaceful. While not everything was perfect, mainly the reservation system and occasional slow service at peak dining hours and those small inconveniences didn’t take away from what was an overall incredible trip. I would absolutely return, and our whole family is already talking about a reunion here in the future. Highly recommended for any families looking for a fun, relaxing, and memory-making getaway.

Overall Experience: The hotel is average and does not meet 5-star standards. It lacks many of the amenities and experiences you’d expect from a luxury resort. Cultural Experience: One thing I missed was the local culture. The hotel doesn’t offer much that reflects the traditions, music, or flavors of the country. When we travel, we want to experience something authentic—not just the basics. 24/7 Pub & Entertainment: One positive was the 24/7 pub. It was a great option to grab a bite when all other restaurants were closed. They also had a fun karaoke setup, which added a lively touch during the evenings.

We recently stayed at the Bávaro Princess Family Club in Punta Cana and overall, the experience was just okay — definitely not as impressive as we had hoped. The buffet food had plenty of variety but it was the same every day, which got repetitive quickly. On the other hand, the restaurant food was excellent and much more enjoyable. One major issue was the heat in all eating areas — it was uncomfortably hot, making meals less enjoyable no matter how good the food was. The water slides for kids were a nice touch, but unfortunately, parents are not allowed to go down with their kids, which isn’t ideal for younger or more timid children. A few more drawbacks: • No drink service near the kids’ water area, and very limited staff for drinks overall, which was disappointing. • Our swim-up room was beautiful at first, but the pool water became filthy after 3 p.m. and made it unpleasant to use. • Getting around the resort was frustrating — we often had to wait quite a while for a trolley to get from one side of the property to the other. • The Family Junior Suite was spacious and nice, but missing practical touches like a full-length mirror and had only 3 small drawers, which wasn’t nearly enough for our family of five. At times, the bar ran out of beer, and the ice cream station was empty, which was disappointing — especially for our kids. There were definitely some positives, but the overall experience left us underwhelmed. Not likely to return.
