Gîte La bastide Cigaline

This is a beautiful retreat with a feeling of being secluded and private; despite properties nearby, they are not visible due to the trees and bushes on the large grounds. The swimming pool is large, clean and with loungers and a seating area. The whole place has a natural, relaxed, outdoor feel to it. There are a flight of uneven, stone steps to the apartments, but that is a part of the natural charm of the gardens and only the infirm would struggle. The apartment itself has character and a personal touch, it has everything we needed and we had our breakfast and evening meals at the apartment most nights, sitting out on the terrace. There are mosquitos, of course, so spray and salve is needed, but the nights are peaceful and private. The hosts reside on site, which I think makes a difference to the standard, and there is only one other apartment for guests to share the facilities with. The historical village of Évenos is a short walk away and definitely worth it, otherwise a car journey is needed for bakery, supermarket and excursions. Good beaches are not far, such as the du Lido at Bandol. We had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again if we had a return visit.

We had a relaxing holiday on the beautiful property of our hosts Corinne and Reynald. They were always available to help and advise us. We enjoyed the peace and privacy of the cottage. The pool was great for cooling off. It was a great base for excursions to the sea and the local markets. We'd love to come back :) Thank you for everything

Second stay at Bastide Cigaline and once again an exceptional welcome from Corinne and Reynald. We took advantage of the calm of the accommodation, the jacuzzi and the beauty of the region. We had an excellent week there.
