Mercure Chateau Fontainebleau Demeures de Campagne

Its a 4 star hotel, but I'm giving them 5 stars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean but a bit spartan. Very close to Fontainbleau Château and not a far walk/drive to the woods for bouldering. Although if your a dirt-bag climber this place is probably a bit expensive. We ate in the restaurant, it was delicious French cuisine. Excellent secure on site parking if your travelling in a van which we were.

I rarely write reviews, but the reservation team at Mercure Château Fontainebleau truly deserves special recognition. Their attention to detail, patience, and willingness to accommodate even the smallest preferences went far beyond expectations. Every request was met with kindness and professionalism — they genuinely care about creating a smooth and personalized experience. The hotel itself is charming, peaceful, and well-maintained, but it’s the people behind the scenes — especially the reservation staff — who make it exceptional.

They wont allow anyone to adjust the ac to a comfortable temperature, it's hotter in the rooms than it is outside, there is a thermostat but it doesn't do anything, the fan control has 2 speeds (off and low), and half of the lights have bare wires hanging out of them. the reception staff did bring us 2 fans, but they should just allow us to have the rooms at a bearable temperature, instead of saving 2€ for a 300€ per night room.
