Ruby Ella Hotel Cologne

Joanna was so kind and helpful! Arriving at midnight on a Saturday was definitely an experience though - expect a few thousand party-goers in the street! Hotel was nice and quiet though regardless. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of vegan and gluten free options 👏🏼

Right next to U-bahn station. Center of town/Dom is about 5 minutes with U-bahn and 20 minutes by foot. Located in a nice neighborhood with many bars and restaurants. Hotel is quiet, located in a sort of cul-de-sac, so no traffic noise despite it being at the ring road. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly

Fantastic location right on the Rings - Easy access to convenience stores and tons of restaurants. The hotel and its rooms are quirky, everything is designed with a sort of show biz vibe in mind - real amps in every room, you can rent out guitars to jam with etc. Not for everyone, I'd say. Rooms are spacious enough but have an odd layout and the sink is in the bedroom. Clean, though and they offer you a free drink voucher if you choose to forego daily cleaning and reduce it to once every 3 days. Nice to have this option. Breakfast is good but expensive, there's only basic food on offer otherwise since the lobby is more of a bar. Still, I'd recommend trying out Ruby Köln
