Mauritzhof Hotel Münster a Member of Design Hotels

Very huge, super comfortable bed and beddings! We slept very well and didn’t feel like getting up. The location is fantastic and very convenient, right next to the old town, the supermarket, bakery, coffee shops and restaurants are all very close by and in walking distance. The service was good. We followed the parking instructions of the hotel and parked our car in a public indoor car park. Our room was facing to the street side, however we found it very interesting to see what’s going on in the construction site. The sound proof windows were great. I didn’t hear any traffic. All in all, I am pretty happy with the hotel and enjoyed my stay!

Hotel is clean and very nice run near the center of town however it is not inside the town wall Marriott platinum member. We did get a nice room upgrade. The room itself is very nice however it did not have any view because it was slightly underground, but it has a patio so the rooms are a bit strange in this hotel. The hotel has a very good restaurant however, the staff is run by little kids and they did not really tell us anything about the hotel or the restaurant and the trucks and the quality of the food so we had a really good German restaurant in the town Which was really great experience as well. Parking is across the street in the parking lot and there’s lots of biking in town but it’s relatively small good for one day. I did the Hotel staff could be more friendly and inviting to the Marriott guest who are and give them free breakfast like they’re used to for supporting Marriott.

Can't recommend! First the positive. Nice rooms and good location to walk the town... BUT... service is very bad. We got zero information upon checkin (not even which floor our room is located on - which turned out to be underground). Service at breakfast great on day 1 and very slow on day 2 forgetting alot of orders. Finally - upon checkout, we were informed that breakfast was an additional charge even though it was supposed to be included in the booking AND they charged multiple wrong amounts to my credit card...so lots of follow up and extra work. Also when we asked for using bikes, we were not informed of a charge - this was only billed at checkout. Not acceptable. Unfortunately despite the nice location and modern space I wouldnt recommend to anyone - property needs significant upskilling esp at the reception to address mismanagement.
