It was my first time staying in a self check in hotel, and actually I liked it. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was also good.

My work-related stays at Hotel Barbarossa in Ratingen have been consistently outstanding, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Noemi at the reception. Not only are the accommodations comfortable and well-maintained, but staff's welcoming demeanor and efficient service truly elevate the overall experience. I highly commend Noemi for her outstanding job, making this hotel an excellent choice for business travelers.

I was notified by google that my review was reported to be defamation. Therefore I am editing it into a more detailed version with photo to support that I actually stayed here. Below are my comments: My family and I had an unfortunate experience during our stay here: Upon arrival in the evening, there was no staff present to assist us, there was only a self-check-in pad at the gate. Despite the hotel advertising a 24/7 service number, our attempt to call didn’t seem successful. The hotel lacks an elevator, unless I didn’t find it, which made it difficult to carry our luggage up the stairs. The “free parking” advertised turned out to be street parking that guests must find on their own. When nearby spots were unavailable, we struggled to find parking in the area. We found the bed sheets in our room had some stains (we do not know if they just can’t be washed off) upon check-in. I’ve attached a photo illustrating the condition. (This is completely random personal experience) At around 1:00 AM and again at 2:00 AM, a man from a neighboring room knocked on our door requesting to borrow a charger. This unexpected interaction made us feel uneasy, especially with no staff available to address the situation.
