One of the most stunning and beautiful hotels I have ever stayed. The staff was incredible, the service was amazing and the food was excellent. The hotel had a ton of charm and character as it is an old monastery. The hotel has beautiful decor, spacious rooms and the pool was an infinity pool with incredible views. The housekeeping found out my daughter liked chocolates so she made sure to leave her extra at the night time down service. The drinks at the bar were excellent, breakfast was great and was exceeded with a pastry basket provided with fresh juice. I wish I had a chance to dine at the Michelin star restaurant. The location is excellent and is walking distance from everything. The hotel was accommodating with a late check out and held my bags until my late flight. I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is worth every penny.
I recently had my honeymoon through Malta Italy and the Greek islands and I can honestly say this hotel was the most amazing out of them all. From the moment we stepped foot onto the hotel property we were treated with such professionalism and were made to feel like VIPs. The hard working people who make this hotel run smoothly all made our stay very enjoyable we never had to carry a bag or use a map to find our way around the area since the location was walking distance to everything worth seeing plus if you ever needed a taxi booked they were more then happy to do so. The service is 10/10 and the beautiful buildings and rooms made staying at the hotel more tempting then going sight seeing. The hotel manager was amazing and the men who helped with all our heavy bags made it seem effortless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a honeymoon getaway or a perfect spot to be close to all the tourist action.
I want to be very honest in my review of this hotel. The property is located in a truly central area of Fira — the location is perfect if you want to be in the heart of everything but still enjoy a luxe hotel experience. That said, I was disappointed with the quality of the rooms provided. We originally checked into the Senior Jetted Tub suite. The room was very big and spacious, but the private porch was on the roof, requiring you to climb stairs to enjoy it — which wasn’t ideal. The next day, we noticed a leak in the ceiling, so I called the front desk and requested a room change. They moved us to a room with a private pool and garden. While it was beautiful, it was much smaller than the previous room, so it didn’t feel like a true upgrade. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The toilet in the new room barely flushed — even when holding the handle for 10 seconds or more. We had to stand there and hold it down for almost a minute just to get it to flush. That was disappointing and shouldn’t happen in a hotel of this caliber. i just didnt complain about it bc it was ridiculous already. Overall, the hotel is lovely, but be aware: the walk to your room can be long, with many steps. If you’re elderly, have mobility issues, or are traveling with someone who does, this may not be the best option. Breakfast was included with our stay and was absolutely delicious — one of the highlights. However, the staff didn’t inform us that we could order more than one item from the menu, so just know that you can. Service-wise, I’d rate it closer to four stars rather than five. Some things were lacking, and the staff could’ve been friendlier overall. That said, the bellboys were exceptional — especially Anestis, who truly stood out. He was kind, helpful, and made us feel cared for. Thank you, Anestis — you were a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the hotel manager (with the long hair to be particularly helpful or empathetic. In fact, I found him somewhat condescending and not very warm. The bathrooms were just okay. The faucet design was confusing, and it was surprisingly difficult to get hot water. Even when I was given access to the spa for a shower after checkout (which I appreciated), the water was cold. One undeniable highlight of the hotel is the pool. It’s absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view of the Caldera — truly 10/10. All that said, I was let down by the service and the quality of the rooms. Going from a leaking ceiling to a room with a malfunctioning toilet didn’t feel fair. No one followed up to see if we were happy or comfortable — it felt rushed and impersonal. For the price and prestige, I expected better.
