Excellent service, each staff I encountered strived for the best service they can offer. Absolutely clean with no dust everywhere even on the windows. Very good food, even it’s not really amazing to me, may due to my own preference. Can take amazing pictures of Mt. Fuji in our room, breakfast area and on the beach. Hot springs bath area can see Mt. Fuji too.

So happy to stay here for 3 nights with my wife and 8yo child. We stayed in a traditional Japanese Room which was a great experience for us all. The view from the room to Mt Fuji was superb. Cloud was covering the mountain on our arrival but the next 2 days through to when we left the views were spectacular . We thoroughly enjoyed the in room Traditional Japanese feast (there was plentiful food) every night. It was a different meal every evening which was excellent to see. The breakfast was good, however could do with some variation on what is given every morning. I enjoyed the beer machine very afternoon and my daughter got great pleasure in keeping my glass full. This was our first time to experience an Onsen. The one at this establishment was exceptional with both inside and outside baths and a sauna. My wife and daughter enjoyed their visit and I enjoyed some peace and quiet on the male side. All the staff were very polite and attentive. We are so happy to have chosen this location.

Peak Japanese hospitality, wide and seasonal spread of foods provided for the in-room dinner, and lovey onsen baths. We arrived at Kawaguchiko station and went to the information counter, where the desk lady helped us to call for the shuttle bus. It’s a large van with the ‘Shuhokaku Kogetsu’ sign in front. The van brought us to the hotel where our luggage were carried by the staff while we checked in. A friendly staff (Thank you Ryokou!) helped orientate us to the room, and made us a welcome green tea! We explored the room, which had nice pottery and artefacts. We then strolled through the souvenir room and enjoyed their draft beer, shirayuri Blanc, Shirayuri Rouge (amazing dessert red wine with nice toffee scent and notes), and Suntory highball! We wanted to soak our feets in the foot bath but it was raining. Then we had the most amazing dinner shown in our photos below. My favourite dishes were the Japanese melon, Broad bean pudding with strawberry and tofu chocolate, and the firefly squid with picked wasabi and urui vegetables. The hotel staff came in to set up our futon beds. Then we changed out to our yukata and enjoyed the open onsen, sauna and indoor bath before a good night’s sleep. The breakfast spread next morning was amazing too - I loved the mackerel in vinegar sauce, udon, beef croquette and omelette. Highly recommended for a full Japanese luxury experience.
