This place is amazing. It's expensive, but it's luxurious without being pretentious. Rooms: Very well appointed with an amazing blend of natural materials. The lava stone in the shower is beautiful. The water pressure is my only criticism of this room, especially the handheld. Otherwise, it is wonderful. Restaurants: the 1 Kitchen is very good; however, I think the small plates at the Terrace was even better. Grounds: Immaculate. The pool area can be busy, but the beach is great, maybe not for swimming as there is a lot of coral, but great for snorkeling. Room service was also amazing.
Wow what an incredible stay we just had! Service was incredible from our check-in process with Sudi, complementary hot yoga class, and great pool side servers. The property is unmatched & clearly underwent a thoughtful gut renovation. Everything across property is beautiful from pools, huge gym, house plants in hallways/room, and stunning views. There’s even a fully stocked hospitality suite we were able to use to freshen up before our flight after checking out. Our only major disappointment was 1 Kitchen for dinner. Would recommend eating out elsewhere. Seems to be massive service and quality issues that are inconsistent with top tier experience across rest of hotel. Also didn’t help that I got an email saying they cancelled my reservation I had made 2 months in advance the day of & had to be ‘squeezed in’ to restore reservation. We raised our concerns with dinner experience when checking out and staff helped to resolve.
4/5 Stars – Beautiful Views, Great Service, Some Room for Improvement My stay at this hotel was overall very enjoyable. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking views from the room and the spacious, nature-themed accommodations. While the room could have been better maintained in terms of cleanliness, upon notifying housekeeping, they responded promptly, and the rest of the stay was smooth. Service was a standout 10/10: Anthony M. at the front desk went above and beyond with helpful recommendations and support throughout our trip. Vincent, the housekeeping manager, was also attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The location is picturesque and conveniently close to nearby towns, though guests should be aware that the beach directly in front of the hotel is rocky and not ideal for swimming due to coral. Water shoes are highly recommended, or consider visiting Hanalei Bay, a sandy beach just a short drive away. As for dining, the breakfast buffet was satisfying and worth it, but the dinner options were limited. The on-site tapas sushi restaurant had a very narrow selection, which led us to dine elsewhere. A broader range of cuisines would be a welcomed improvement. Additionally, the hotel could really use some entertainment options, there was a lot of fitness and relaxation offerings but limited night activities like live music, dancing, etc. In all, this hotel offers a relaxing stay with great service and stunning scenery, with some areas for improvement in room upkeep, dining variety, and entertainment.
