11 Howard New York a Member of Design Hotels

We had a great experience at this hotel for our first time staying here. We were upgraded to a corner suite room (American Express benefit) that was very spacious and nice. The location is perfect and close to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I accidentally left items in the room and Abraham was kind enough to send them back home to us. He was SO kind and helpful. I give 5 stars just because of how great Abraham made our experience. We will definitely be returning.

The staff is fantastic! The location is perfect for getting around quickly. Whether it's sightseeing, eating out, or getting a quick drink. Unfortunately the doors slam pretty loudly and shake the surrounding rooms a bit and that makes it hard to sleep with other guests coming and going from the nightclub late at night. The bar/restaurant on the first floor has fantastic drinks and great service as well.

While this is not a 5-star experience, this is a decent hotel in a really great location. The interiors - such as the hallway carpets and lighting in the hallways - are in serious need of an upgrade. The room was small, but well appointed and clean. What made our experience great was the willingness of the front desk staff to accommodate a later than usual check out when my sister became ill. It was really nice of them to allow us to extend our visit until it was time to leave for the airport, since she was not well enough to walk around the city. Additionally, upon arriving home, I noticed we were charged for two minibar items that we didn't consume. When I called, they removed the items from my bill immediately. So, if you don't mind slightly tired interiors in the hallways, you should stay here because it is a great city room, (our room was quiet at night), in a really great location, with a staff that is friendly and accommodates reasonable requests quickly without a hassle.
