We have stayed here for extended summer trips more than once, and I have to leave a review because the staff is just unmatched. Everyone who works here is so helpful, kind, understanding and patient. The housekeeping staff is outstanding, just the most accommodating and kind team. On top of the perfect beachfront and charming family beach town of Bethany Beach, the hotel’s daily events for kids have become core memories for our kids. Cascading Carlos didn’t just teach our kids how to juggle, he spent three hours with our kids and others teaching them all kinds of skills and was the kindest, most patient, entertaining guy with a true passion for teaching kids how to do his tricks. Another day, there was a Merman at the pool who was rolled in on a luggage trolley who sat in the pool, read them a book about ocean conservation and then talked to and entertained the kids for two hours. They loved it! The staff at breakfast tirelessly works for a deluge of guests. They never stop, constantly bussing tables, restocking silverware, food, coffee, water… They are so hardworking and it’s a tough shift! The front desk has so much thrown at them, but they handle it all with patience and grace. The only area of improvement I have is to ensure each guest has a parking spot in the high season. We did get a spot in the hotel garage after a 30-minute wait upon arrival, but it was the Employee of the Month spot so we had to look around the garage the next morning for a spot to move our car. Loved our stay here! Rooms are clean,quiet and spacious, right on the beach with an amazing view. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The bar/restaurant is beautiful and has amazing food and drinks! We can't qait to come back again!

As mentioned in other reviews this hotel is VERY expensive for what it is. I used points for the one night we stayed but the normal price for our room is over a thousand dollars. The quality of the hotel doesn't reflect the pricing. The breakfast - like other Residence Inns - is just horrible. Come on guys its 2025 and your chain has been serving the same old horrible breakfast for years now. My recommendation would be to drop the charade and just not do warm food at all. The funny part about this is that they actually have a kitchen at this hotel. If someone pays 700-1000 dollars per night, they expect better, dare I say wayyy better. The location is superb and that is what you pay for here - if you love the beach, you just cannot do better. The porch is cute and the personnel are friendly, but again its like paying Michelin star prices for a McDonald's.
