151 Hakuba by Jade Group

The staff at Hakuba 151 + the Jade Group are some of the friendliest and most helpful people. The food is amazing, the capsules are priced fairly, and their “onsen” style bath is perfect for post-ski relaxation. Slightly far from the town of Hakuba but worth the stay! Arigato Hakuba 151 for making my stay very pleasant

The hotel is not far from the ski lift and they have some free shuttle bus to bring you there or pick you up. The room was quite large and the hotel is clean. The lounge is a nice place to relax or work. That being said, the level of service is very low. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay (I think you need to pay extra if you want it cleaned), the central Aircon/heater makes such a big noise that you have to turn it off and use the wall Aircon. All staff were taiwanese during our stay and the quality of service was not good. Staff is watching their phone with sound on in the lounge when customers are around, it's not a good manner for staff in my opinion. Dinner only has a few Indian dishes options, no starters, no healthy options, no desserts. It's also the first hotel I stay where there is no proper coffee for breakfast. They only have Nescafe powder (Nescafe, not Nespresso!) and hot water... The buffet is also reduced to its bare minimum. The hot bath is convenient but the first day the water wasn't hot and on the third day it was broken and closed. If you are a Mandarin speaking customer and want to feel at home it's probably a good choice but otherwise you might want to reconsider.
