201 Hotel

Great stay – clean, comfy & solid breakfast! Stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised! The room was clean, modern, and cozy – exactly what you want after a long day of travel. The bathroom was well-equipped with everything you need. Breakfast was generous with plenty of options – from fresh bread and pastries to eggs, fruits, and even some sorts of yogurt and cereals. Definitely a great way to start the day. The staff were welcoming and helpful, check-in was quick and smooth, and the lobby area had a nice, minimalist vibe. Location-wise, it’s a bit outside the city center, but you could easily drive to the center of Reykjavik in 15 minutes – and it’s quiet at night, which made for a great sleep. Would absolutely stay again next time I’m in Reykjavik!

We stayed one night on our way back to the airport. The location was close to downtown Reykjavík without the price of a downtown hotel. The bed was on the harder side but it was quiet enough for sleep. We got a room In the basement which is just ok, you can’t see anything out the window. Next time i would request a higher floor. The hotel has a nice hostel feel to it. Some rooms have shared bathroom. The lobby had a small bar area and comfortable seating. The rooms are bare basic, no fridge or kettle etc. The breakfast was more than adequate for the price we paid for the room. Overall totally ok for a night or two.

You can't rely on this hotel. We booked two rooms in January and paid right away. We were supposed to stay there on August 1st. On July 25th, I received a message saying they had to cancel the booking for unforeseen reasons. I was offered a poorly rated hotel as a replacement, which was considerably cheaper, with no refund for the difference. Of course, I demanded a refund and booked a hotel myself. But hotels during peak season are more expensive this close to the stay than they were in January. I can only strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Not reliable. And the situation was handled very poorly.
