Best vacation rental in Umhlanga

PROS: Great location with access to the beach and restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to Gateway Mall. Two dedicated underground parking bays with two lifts in the building. It is spacious and modern looking and benefits from being a corner unit offering wrap around balcony. It was clean and presentable. We greatly appreciate the consideration of a last minute request. CONS: Possibly due to weather changes, the wooden doors were a bit hard to open and close. There was lack of basic items like dustbins in the rooms. Some of the items were not in order like a broken lamp, unfitted handheld shower, unclean parts in shower areas and drains, loose drawers in a few rooms. There was no provision of mini toiletries such as shampoo, lotion. Also there were no provision of basic items such as hangers, tea / coffee / sugar, etc that would make the stay a lot more comfortable and great. Carpets are welcome for a more comfortable entry to the rooms but they did not look clean (though they might have been cleaned) because of spots on it. It's okay to have carpets but maybe make provision for a small shelf at the entrance to store shoes.

Rented 904 at Oyster Quays 3 bedroom apartment, very spacious, view was spectacular of ocean with large walk around balcony. The apartment is in need of a desperate renovation, broken tiles, kitchen units are old stained, carpets, bathroom tiles and shower stalls really bad. Balcony glass raillings shattered and broken major safety issue. We rented from owner James, we had no “wifi “ as advertised, he confirmed a time to come and have it fixed, we tried to reach him several times even the concierge tried, he never showed up. When checking in he assured us that any concerns or deficiencies will be taken care right away. Do not pay in full hold some back...... this is advertised as a high end appartment, inspect the appartment and beware non existent customer service.
