I had a great stay at 21c in Durham. I booked a one king bed room and it was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The room was spacious and well-designed, with thoughtful touches that made it feel more like a studio apartment than a standard hotel room. The atmosphere of the hotel was creative and interesting. There was art throughout the building, and I’m sad that I didn’t have time to visit the museum galleries or try the restaurant, but I have plans to come back and do both! The gift shop had the standard items for a boutique hotel, and I loved the art postcards I grabbed to send back home. I’m already making plans to come back next year. Fantastic place, fantastic location, fantastic people.
LOVE! Great value. Clean, unique, great location ,and close to the baseball stadium and the Old Tobacco area. Didn’t need a car. Rooms very nice. Lots of plugs on both sides of the bed to accommodate electronics. Small couch, table, lots of storage. BIG bathroom counter and ledge to easily accommodate all our toiletries. There is the coolest artwork “museum” on the ground floor, and free for anybody. We used the spacious bar, bartenders very friendly, restaurant was just so-so. No ambiance, but food good. Gym was really nice!! 3 treadmills, elliptical, 2 bikes, weight machines, free weights, body ball, mats, etc. Was in the basement but was bright with g rest lighting and all mirrors so didn’t feel like a basement. Very pleasant. Sauna and steam room. I would a solo stay here again!!!
Had an overall great experience for our first time at 21C. We were surprisingly upgraded to a Luxury Suite. Very spacious and the amenities were very. Loved the Art Gallery. Dining at the Counting House was spot on. Great value for the amount of food and drink. Even had leftovers. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
