33 Lake Terrace

For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. On top of this Mr Panduka and the entire staff were exceptional, very discreet but always available and just very nice. The breakfast was very good but the dinner was just amazing, both the food and the atmosphere. While the location is a bit remote (15-20min walk into town) we enjoyed the uniqueness of the hotel as well as the marvelous views of the lake - highly recommended!

wow wow wow. What a wonderful home created by Suzette and Rajive. The design reflects Suzette’s architectural genius and beautiful taste in this stunning location. The photos on the website are very good but the reality is even better. Panduka, Janaka and team have given us such a warm welcome and provide the gold standard of service that this boutique hotel deserves. Their attention to detail, calm and relaxed flexibility and thoughtfulness was breathtaking. Panduka was also an excellent guide to the monastery nearby. He is extremely well read and has wide and accurate knowledge on so many interesting subjects. Time with him was a pleasure. We have been travelling for 3 months in SL and this is our favourite of so many amazing places. 🙏 Thank you

We stayed for two days at this quiet, calm, and lovely place. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. Initially, we booked their 'Kurulu' room, but the TV wasn't working. Once we informed them, they promptly arranged another room without us even asking. The rooms are super clean and beautifully designed. However, the road leading to the property is very narrow. The food is only available from an ala carte menu, with prices in USD and slightly on the higher side. Overall, it's highly recommended for a calm and peaceful getaway.
