Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. This place is a scam. All of the properties are large enough for around 20+ people but can only take a few cars for parking. There is an overflow lot but it's tiny. YOU WILL GET TOWED! The security are working with Towlando to tow vehicles and it's $500 to get it back. I wouldn't stay here again
There are surely redeeming features of this property. Nevertheless, I am one-staring it anyway for one MAJOR failing. There are no conspicuous signs informing you that parking on the street is prohibited and that they employ a predatory towing company (Towlando) to enforce it. On the first night of our VRBO stay there, our car was towed. The fee to retrieve it first thing the next morning was $270. The front gate personnel were supposed to have advised us not to park on the street. They didn't. The VRBO contract evidently mentioned this somewhere, but we were staying with others who had arranged the rental, so we never saw the contract. The front gate evidently has a sign about this as well. So if you choose to stop at the gate and ignore the gate guard while you read all the miscellaneous information printed on the gate, you might figure this out. The neighborhood parking pass also has this printed on the back, along with other trivial information. Once you hang the parking pass from your rear view mirror or place it on the dashboard for display, you can no longer see it. It SHOULD be prominently advertised in the neighborhood. It SHOULD be prominently advertised inside the rental property. They SHOULD knock on the door and advise us to move before towing. We took three cars and are instructed to park all three in the driveway, even though this requires double-parking and blocking the sidewalk. I will post my review of the towing company separately. Once we were towed and read the existing critical reviews, we agreed completely. It is an absolute racket. We have watched their trucks patrol the neighborhood looking for vehicles to snatch. Given that it takes only a minute or two for them to steal your vehicle, leaving it unattended on the road even momentarily puts you at risk. They accept only cash to ransom your vehicle, and the price they quote you over the phone will change when you show up to recover your vehicle. Shame on the subdivision for operating this way. I imagine someone is getting a kickback from the towing company!
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. This was the worse rental experience my family and I have ever had. Firstly, We are convinced the HOA, airbnb/vrbo hosts and Towlando towing company are in cahoots to prey on poor families who are just trying to have a vacation experience. Vrbo host was extremely poor with communication. We were in a villa that fit 32 people yet could only have 3 cars in the drive way and are unable to park in grass or on the side of the street. There was a gravel parking that was suppose to serve as an overflow parking but it had the same 20 cars sitting there that never moved which was weird. My car was towed and we had to stop our neighbors car from getting towed as well. The tow company is full of rude, nasty predatory workers who lie and steal money from the guest at this complex. Second, the security (not the gate security, he was nice but the one that rides around in the car and alerts the towing company) is also extremely racist and sexist. He was aggressive with us when we were not with him and put his hands in our face several times almost mushing me in my face. He is a 6 foot white man at least 200lbs white man in a uniform and I am a 5 foot black woman who was merely trying to have a conversation. We were trying to have a conversation with the tow truck driver and he ran up in our faces yelling and pointing his finger very closely to our face which honestly caused me so much emotional trauma. He also illegally took a picture of one of our family members licenses plates and accused us of trespassing though we had a valid reservation. When driving by we also observed him doing this to another woman as well, he was yelling and screaming in her face while pointing and getting very close to her. I will never ever stay here again and I will do my best to make sure other people will not. I am still shaken up from the events that have happened this past weekend. From being threatened by the men at the tow truck company for simply trying to get my car back, to nearly being assaulted by security I will be certain to fight as hard as I can to make sure this lace is dealt with.
