We just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay at the beautiful 49 on Airlie. The house is massive, beautifully constructed over 3 levels and the views are breathtaking from all rooms in the house. The pictures don't do this place enough justice and overall this home exceeded all of our expectations. The home is modern and tastefully furnished. All rooms have air-conditioning, the new pool was a perfect size and the kitchen facilities were excellent. We were a group of 8 and we felt like we had plenty of room and privacy. The house is located a few minutes walk from town making it ideal to easily access all of Airlies attractions. Michelle from Whitsundays Holiday Rentals was very warm and accommodating to all of our needs and we can't wait to stay the next time in Airlie.

Was great for location only if walking up stairs and reasonable steep incline, views as pictures and entertaining for dinner party or similar at home.good verandas and outdoor areas. Huge kitchen. Water pressure not very good except in external bathroom near pool. However comparing to other places at same cost that I have stayed is a little expensive

This place is good - the view is great, the location terrific (albeit somewhat of a mission to climb the hill after a day of yacht racing) and it is mostly well resourced throughout. However, our group had two issues with the place. 1. It really needs to provide better bedding - there were nowhere near enough blankets for the beds provided. We stayed recently in Winter, so most nights were cold enough that had most of us needing more warmth. 2. The bedroom layout does not suit a mixed group like ours - there should be more twin rooms. We were all crew in Airlie Beach Race Week and sharing a dbl bed was not acceptable. And regardless, who has standard dbl beds these days?? Option of more twin rooms would be ideal - these can be moved together if people wish to share. Families, close friends ..... great!! But our mixed group struggled to allot beds appropriately. Otherwise, a good place :)
