I recently stayed at 60 Hyde Park Gate Hotel, and it was an outstanding experience. The location is perfect, with easy access to Hyde Park and other nearby attractions. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and offer a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotel’s restaurant. The service was exceptional, particularly from Rafael, our waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. The combination of excellent service from Rafael, a cozy ambiance, and great food made my stay unforgettable.
We had a 3 course lunch at the restaurant in the hotel as non-residents and the food was very good indeed. In fact we both chose the Tiramisu for dessert and it was the best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted. The service was also very good, prompt, polite and efficient. Thank you! The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and relaxing. Just what we needed to get away from the noise and business of the city outside. A nice location opposite Hyde Park and a short distance from the Royal Albert Hall and the museums of Kensington. Would definitely eat here again.
I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. It’s clear that the property has recently transitioned to Accor, and unfortunately, the service didn’t quite meet the standard expected of a 5-star hotel. There was no door assistance upon arrival, no greetings when returning to the hotel, and on several occasions, there was no staff available at the front desk. The hotel also felt very quiet, as I didn’t encounter another guest during my stay, which made the lack of service even more noticeable. On the positive side, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bed. The cleanliness was impeccable, and I haven’t stayed in a hotel room this pristine in a long time. The hotel’s location is ideal for visiting nearby landmarks and restaurants on foot. However, in terms of access to tube stations, it wasn’t perfectly situated for the lines I needed, requiring about a 2km walk to the nearest station. Additionally, with Hyde Park closing in the evening, the walk was often a bit longer than anticipated.
