Out of the five accommodations we stayed in across the South Island, from Mount Cook to Te Anau to Queenstown, this was by far our favorite. The room was spacious, and we even received a free upgrade because the TV wasn’t working, which they communicated to us beforehand. Communication was excellent—they let us know the reception closes at a certain time, which made check-in smooth. We felt very safe here, as the property typically has a no-vacancy policy after reception closes, so there are no randoms walking around. The room itself was huge and offered a great view. It was so clean and thoughtfully designed, with everything you might need already considered. The cleaning team did a superb job of anticipating our needs, and you could tell they take pride in maintaining the space. The kitchen had lots of space, and the bathroom was spotless. The dining area and room layout were perfect for walking around, and we found ourselves walking into the city frequently since it was so accessible. The customer service was exceptional. On the day we checked out, it was pouring rain, and they even let us use umbrellas after we checked out. We returned them before leaving for our flights, which was very considerate. Please remember to book directly with the team on their website, as that’s how we found the cheapest price. They also matched this price for our third night in the upgraded room. We found booking on other external websites to be more expensive. Overall, this place offered the most relaxing enjoyable stay of our trip, and we actually extended our stay to three nights. A fantastic experience all around!

Great stay, very convenient location Bella Vista’s location was close to the city centre, which was a big plus. The hot water and water pressure were excellent. The room had all the basic amenities like plates, cups, a microwave, and a small fridge. It was a comfortable and cozy size. Having a private car park was very convenient. The reception staff were patient and knowledgeable, especially when we asked about nearby bus stops and shops. Would definitely book again!

The stay itself was very good, but I strongly recommend that you take a detailed video or photos of the room when you check in and again before you check out. After I left, I was charged for items I never even saw during my stay, and the blame was placed on me. This was disappointing and felt unfair. Apart from that issue, everything else was fine. I'm giving 1 star solely for their response to this matter.
