Upon arriving house didn't look bright and inviting like picture posted on rental site. Upon opening the door the place looked like a dump. Once we made it inside my wife immediately developed a terrible headache due to an odor of mold and mildew. Kees Outerbanks vacation rentals had portable dehumidifier in living room that was being used to remove ongoing air quality and moisture problems in house according to their own maintenance guy. The central air conditioning worked.House was dated and old. Furniture had stains and living room was smaller than what pics on site represented and the tv remote didn'twork. Mildew or mold on living room windows and this was also pointed out by housekeeper. House was a real let down and way overpriced. We had to move to another rental after wasting a whole afternoon with their rude customer service reps instead of being out on our limited time at the beach. The other vacation rental that they moved us to was as bad as this one. It had no garage door opener, not enough parking space for any vehicles larger than small cars, Roaches, No wifi, Refrigerator Icemaker broken, Dryer broken, beds lumpy and uncomfortable and I had to buy a mattress for our son and his pregnant wife due to bed being so bad, pool closed for emergency maintenance most of our stay, customer service reps are rude and put you on hold for long periods hoping you'll hand up,they false advertise,won't give you a refund and they lied to us and Airbnb in an email concerning our complaints on issues. Since they cant be trusted and have not given us our refund we have begun the process of filing complaints with BBB, The NC Attorney General due to unfair business practices and fraud, Lawsuit through Small Claims Court in Dare County, Channel 11 Trouble Shooter and will continue to warn other potential future victims through reviews, Social Media Sites and every way possible that the law allows. Dont just lose your hard earned money to this business if you had to go through this kind of crap. You have 3 years to file a case in small claims court and it's very simple to Sue them. It only cost $126 to file the paperwork with the Dare County Clerks Office and they will serve Kees Outerbanks Vacation Rentals the lawsuit. Bring Document, photographs and have any witnesses to just come to magistrate court on court date and just tell you side as to what happened and you'll probably get the judgment and even your filing fee of $126 if you have a good case. Also, photograph all their amenities and save everything like their photos and then check property and compare your photos to their listing.
