I had the pleasure of dining at 8Fold by Larisa Hotel in Shimla, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every course, right from the soup to the starters, main course, and dessert, was prepared to perfection — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. The service was equally commendable — warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making the entire experience even more memorable. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are consistently top-notch, but 8Fold truly delivers on all fronts. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Shimla — whether you’re a guest at the hotel or simply looking for an excellent dining experience in town. A solid 10/10 from me!
My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept soundly every night. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, such as the complimentary water bottles and the high-quality toiletries. The hotel's amenities were also top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the pool area was a relaxing oasis. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and the service was impeccable. Overall, my stay at the Grand Majestic Hotel was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The hotel is in a decent location, though there isn’t much to do in the surrounding area, and it does feel a bit crowded. This time, we booked at a heavily discounted rate through Goibibo, so I believe we were given one of the last available rooms. Unfortunately, it felt slightly run-down and had a musty odor. That said, considering the price we paid, it was still good value. We’ve stayed at Larissa before as well, and on that occasion, we had a much nicer room and a decent breakfast. One thing that has remained consistent across both visits is the staff — always nice and friendly.
