I recently had the opportunity to spend 10 days at the Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz, a hotel with a rich history and personality, located on the spectacular Rügen Island, specifically in the Binz area. This area is known for its large, clean, and well-maintained beach, and the hotel is perfectly situated in front of it. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, although there is room for improvement in certain aspects. For example, the beds creak and the bedding and pillows could be softer and newer. As for the reception staff at the hotel, although they are efficient, not all of them speak English, which can make communication difficult for international tourists. In addition, although they are efficient, they are not always friendly, which can affect visitors’ first impressions. However, I want to highlight that my experience with the staff in other areas of the hotel was very satisfactory. A special mention deserves the SPA staff. Even though they didn’t speak English well, they were so attentive that communication flowed smoothly. I requested three massage sessions and all were excellent. Don’t miss visiting them. On the other hand, the included buffet breakfast is spectacular, very varied and well prepared. The staff who attend to the breakfast are undoubtedly one of the best aspects of the hotel. They are efficient, attentive, and friendly, and even remembered my coffee preference before I requested it. Finally, the hotel’s terrace is a wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch, and have some drinks. It is always clean and well arranged, and the staff is efficient and attentive, always with a smile, which made us feel very good.
Have been here a couple of times and really enjoy it here. Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms. Breakfast is great and so is dining in the evening. Wonderful piano bar. Haven't been here in the high season though - I could imagine it being overrun in summer.
I had a great time in this hotel. The room was comfy & very clean. The breakfast diverse and delicious. Why 3 stars only ? Well, I found some of the staff a little bit not as I would expect from a hotel where I pay 300 euro per night. Very polite but they made me feel that simple requests are not normal. Example: I arrived by foot from the train station, it was so hot, the room not ready and so asked for a bottle of water and I got told that it is only given as a leaving “present”. The same person did my check out and gave me that bottle of water only after I have asked as if it was some valuable item. Simple things really that I don’t care about, however For 300 euro per night, I expect not to encounter any uncomfortable situation. There was no nice greeting not goodbye from the receptionist neither :(. I think a little bit more of social training will make the atmosphere very very agreeable 😃anyway I had a great time and will come back, with my own bottle of water ;)
