Very clean and tidy ,secure parking, rooms excellent, air con ,short walk to town centre, square lots of bars and eating. Beer in hotel 9 euros.
The hotel has great common areas, being an old abbaye; staff was fairly friendly. My room was also very “monasterial”, simple with green/purple colors and I don’t know if I picked the wrong number, but there was constant noise from the electric/maintenance room next door (or from Somewhere else) during my one night there, while I picked this hotel, thinking it d be particularly quiet to catch quality sleep. I was hoping for breakfast to be served in the outside patio too but it was in an average looking room. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential that could be used more efficiently. Cannot comment on the spa as I didn’t get to try it
Family hotel, nice location but balance is cheap. Try to avoid, specially in holiday season. In Holland we would call this a ‘van der Valk’ environment. Tasteless and too big to have any character.
