Stayed here last weekend to go to a concert in ormeau park! The location is fantastic really easy to get taxis. The room was lovely. Beds are really comfortable nice and quiet hotel. The staff are absolutely wonderful, particularly Joanna on the reception desk who was so helpful all weekend. Also The Bar manager, I can’t remember his name but he had tattoos. He was so lovely. I would give six stars if I could, especially for the service!
We booked a one night stay at the AC Hotel Belfast for its proximity to the Titanic Museum, which was about a 25 minute walk away. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. Service was good and the overall experience was comfortable. A solid choice for a short stay in Belfast.
Extremely disappointing hotel experience, especially given the standards one should expect from a Marriott property. Reception staff were generally polite but clearly untrained, and the check-in process was abnormally slow. As a business traveler, I simply cannot afford to waste nearly 30 minutes retrieving the key to a room that was already prepaid online. Totally unacceptable. The restaurant experience was even worse: I had to call the waiter three times before he finally came to take my initial order—over 15 minutes after I was seated. Then, I waited an additional 45 minutes for a basic burger. Toward the end of the evening, I ordered a drink to wrap things up… which never came. And yet, it appeared on the bill! I had to insist for it to be removed. The bar staff was unprofessional and completely lacking in courtesy. Lastly, a note on the bathroom: the shower floor was dangerously slippery—so much so that they provide an anti-slip mat. Not exactly reassuring, nor particularly hygienic. This kind of detail is simply not acceptable for a hotel in this category. I travel to Belfast two to three times a year for business, but I can confidently say this will be my last stay at this hotel.
