AC Hotel by Marriott Huntsville Downtown

Right next to the space center where my son went to Space Camp! We stayed twice, once dropping him off and once picking him up for graduation. Rooms were very clean and nice, beds were comfy, had coffee makers, showers were nice. Had a great pool and work out center. Also has a small restaurant/bar with yummy food (I don't know about the drinks, I don't drink). Has a little convenience store area with drinks and snacks and supplies too next to registration. It's right next to the space center too so we didn't have to go far. Gorgeous hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel property is fine. There is plenty of parking and if you are at the space center it is very convenient. There are birds that fly right over your head at the main entrance, which is nothing other than annoying. There was no one at the front desk when we walked in and they were not overly friendly. The hallway to our room needed to be vacuumed. This was the case on the other floors we saw too. Luckily, the rooms are not carpeted, were updated and were clean. The room, however, was incredibly muggy, even with the air on. Granted, it is AL in summer but it seemed extraordinarily humid with the air on. The hotel hosted a banquet the day we were there. We go to order food at the bar and were told it would be 15 minutes before we could order because the kitchen needed to catch up. We totally understood, but 30 mins later still no menus. Finally, we did receive a menu and were able to order. The food was what we expected and prevented us from needing to leave the hotel or order in. The bartenders had no business being in customer service. They didn't smile, interact, or go out of their way to serve anyone. Overall, I would not staying here again.

Not up to Marriott standards. All around a rather dirty hotel and service is very lacking. I requested a high floor, they put in their notes "not a high floor". For cleanliness and thoroughness, they completely failed. Their was dried urine on the toilet seat and a hole in the bed sheets. Finger prints on all over the door handles. Hair on the floor. The elevators are covered in dirty smudges. I asked at 5pm for the room to be cleaned again. Returned at 11pm and nothing had been done. Manager said that he would go ahead and downgrade my room type, give me a lower floor, and give me a whole 30% discount for the trouble of giving me a room of urine and torn sheets, lying about getting the room cleaned again, and forcing a room change at 11:30pm. Very considerate. Save your money and sanity and book a reputable, clean hotel or bring your own bathroom cleaning supplies.
