We spent 5 days at the Marriott Hotel. The hotel is elegant, well-equipped, and there was always a pleasant scent. We also opted for breakfast, which was very generous and delicious, with plenty of choices. Our room was always very comfortable and clean. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was very helpful. The location was also excellent — just a few minutes by tram from the Old Town. We can only recommend it to everyone. We would love to come back here.
We stayed at the AC Marriott Hotel for six nights in mid-June, either side of a trip to Zakapone to hike in the Tatras mountains. This Krakow hotel enjoys a lovely location - close enough to the city to have easy access to all the main sites but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet; it has a great aspect overlooking the Blonia park. It takes just 25 minutes to walk to the Old Town and the number 20 tram stops outside the hotel to do that journey in 5 minutes. The rooms are modern and spacious and the hotel recognises Bonvoy status and upgraded us to a lovely suite overlooking the park and with distant views of the cathedral and castle. The breakfast buffet is very substantial and great quality. At the beginning of our stay the hotel was quiet but our final days coincided with the start of the summer holiday season so became very busy but the staff did a great job and coped well with some quite demanding family groups. One nice touch was the incentive offered to pass on room cleaning when you don’t really need it every day - if you opt out for a day you can have additional Bonvoy points, a glass of prosecco at the bar or 10% off a restaurant bill. That’s good for the environment and good for guests too. A special mention for Agnieska on the front desk who was great - when we checked out the first time we mentioned how much we’d liked our room and sure enough, when we checked in again five days later we were given the same lovely suite. That really is excellent customer service and much appreciated. There’s a very nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi which was welcome after some long days touring the city’s attractive squares and historical districts as well as sites further away. This is one of the nicest Marriott properties I’ve stayed in for a while and I have no hesitation in recommending the AC if you are spending time in Krakow.
The hotel has a pleasant location, about three tram stops directly to the city center. The rooms are spacious, modern, and include a huge balcony, which is not common in other hotels. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection available. Slicing fresh Jamón is something I haven’t seen in other Marriott hotels. One minor issue was the layout of the buffet tables. The walkways are quite narrow, and when more guests gather, it can be tricky to move around while avoiding both other guests and the staff replenishing the tables. The reception provided an excellent check-in full of useful information. A special thanks to Thomas, the Quality Manager, for accommodating our requests. The only negative experience with the staff was at the bar. We came for a drink, but after just one, we decided to leave as we felt like we were inconveniencing the bartender rather than being welcomed. The hotel’s wellness area is well-equipped, especially for a city hotel. Overall, I had a great stay and would gladly return if I visit Kraków again. One small but thoughtful touch that added to the experience: dried lavender that guests can scoop into a small cloth bag and take to their room for free.
