With the other Marriott properties in the area, I was hesitant to book this hotel but am so glad I did. The hotel is clean and updated. Rooms are big, offering a stunning ocean view. The staff is extremely pleasant. We stayed here in the beginning of April and it often felt like we had the place to ourselves. Much quieter than the beach front properties we walked through (crowded pool areas, lots of kids running around). At the AC you are a quick 10-minute walk down the hill to the shops and 15-minute walk to access the beach. If you want a relaxed vibe in a fantastic location - the AC Wailea is for you. When you go, I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Jenver at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay in Maui.

3 nights at the AC Hotel Maui Wailea were comfortable and very beautiful. The view of sunset from Kai, the poolside bar, was unforgettable. The bartender also made some delicious mai tais. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. My problem with the rooms is the lighting. The room had a built in night light that made it impossible to make the room as dark as I would like. I will also add that location is very convenient, but not on the beach. That is the only reason for not giving it 4 stars for the location.

This hotel made our arrival in Maui really stressful. They pump perfume into the hallways by your room every thirty minutes. It makes you feel so sick. The room reeks of perfume. It is increasing the risk of breast cancer in the female staff members, I'm sure. It is so strong in the lobby. Also, the rooms face out on the pool and lobby where there is loud music all day until late at night. It's an awful feeling where you can't get peace at all. You just feel bombarded by perfume and noise at this hotel. The other side of the hotel is dark and mosquitoey from the shrubby. The location in Wailea is good. It is easy to get around, though you have to drive to everything because there aren't any sidewalks and it's a steep hill. The hotel would be so beautiful and relaxing if they just turned off the perfume and the music! What a shame.
