AC Hotel by Marriott Miami Aventura

I recently stayed at the AC Hotel Miami Aventura and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—conveniently close to Aventura Mall, restaurants, and the beach. The hotel has a modern, stylish design and a comfortable atmosphere, especially in the lobby and common areas. The rooftop pool was a great bonus and made for a relaxing break in the afternoons. The staff was professional and courteous, and check-in was smooth. The room itself was well-designed with a minimalist European flair, and the amenities met expectations. However, I did feel that cleanliness could be improved. While the room was tidy on the surface, there were a few overlooked details that made it feel less than spotless. With a bit more attention to cleaning, especially in the bathrooms and corners of the room, the experience would have been even better. Overall, it’s a solid option in Aventura—great for business or a short leisure stay—with just a little room for improvement.

The one young lady with brown hair at the desk was not very friendly upon our check in. The hotel lobby is spacious and clean. Small bar in the lobby area with nice bartender. Pool area was nice for the kids to play in. Our room had a nice view of the city. The room has the shower and bathroom split which I did not care for and sunk was outside in the middle of the room. Main complain is that the mattress was stained and had a small odor. Told Front desk and they thankfully changed out room. But after leaving the room the housekeeping staff did not address the stain or smell and cleaned up the room and allowed someone else to sleep in there which is terrible and shoes they do not care about cleanliness. Nice location if in Aventura area.

The lobby is nice, the front desk service was fine, but the details of the rooms are absolutely 1-star worthy. The bed doesn't sit flat on the ground, so we had to lift the frame and put a notepad underneath a corner to get it to stop rocking and making loud noise. The shower door was installed completely wrong, so there's a literally 1 foot gap between where the sliding door ends and the wall begins, so water gets out all over the bathroom and it gets drafty and cold in there, and they just left it like that. There are ants all over the inside of the windowsill, so it's clearly not sealed properly, and they either have poor or non-existent pest control. There's glitter all over the hallway carpet and housekeeping just leaves it and doesn't vacuum, so it's getting tracked into the room and on our stuff. The desk chair is a cheap, non-rolling stackable event type chair, so not only is it uncomfortable, but it makes awful noise if it slides around at all on the floor, and you get to hear the neighbors constantly sliding it around, and of course the hotel has never heard of furniture sliders to put on the bottom of the chair feet to at least make them slide smoothly and quietly. The guest laundry room has 2 washers and dryers, but one is broken. The remaining ones are clearly never cleaned, and we had to clean them out ourselves before being able to do laundry. I could go on, but you probably get the point by now. This is a cheapo, low-quality hotel masquerading as something nice, and if you care about quality at all, absolutely do not waste your money here, or you'll regret it like we do.
