AC Hotel Palencia by Marriott

Nice hotel, which we didn’t really get a chance to savour as we had a late check-in and early exit. However what I did experience was good, downside is the external parking, which is not adequate enough, although they do have an indoor facility which is paid for at the hotel but has a height restriction.

This is a convenient location! There is a gas station and convenience market right next door, and stores and food options within walking distance. There is an underground garage - but FYI - it won’t accommodate anything larger than a mid-size SUV. I have an Outlander and was able to navigate the narrow entry and curving driveway … anything bigger than that, or if you aren’t comfortable navigating tight spaces in your car, I would avoid use of the garage and opt for the outdoor parking (which is directly in front of the hotel’s entry door). Breakfast had wonderful options and a friendly and helpful attendant! My only real Con is that I was not a fan of the elevator - it was loud, and jolted loudly to a stop. I opted for the stairs instead.

We booked because it was as pet friendly, our dog was not allowed in the bar, no pet friendly bed, parking was free if we found parking on the street, otherwise 12 euros per night, very disappointed, nothing to make our dog welcome, but was charged 10 euros extra ( what for)
