AC Hotel Sants by Marriott

We are Marriott Vacation Club owners, so we were looking to stay at a Marriott-owned property/hotel. We only stayed for one night due to an early morning departure to Italy. It was the perfect location to grab a cab. What we liked most was the room didn’t have carpet, and came with slippers (so we weren’t tracking in dirt/germs from the street).

I had a very upsetting experience at this hotel. My bag was stolen directly from the hotel lobby — a place that should be safe and monitored. Shockingly, the only “security measures” in place were small cards on tables warning guests to beware of pickpockets. If theft is that common, the hotel should be taking far more serious precautions — like visible staff presence, surveillance cameras, or secure key entry requirements to enter certain areas. To make matters worse, the response from the hotel staff was extremely unhelpful. As a foreign guest who doesn't speak the local language, I felt completely unsupported. There was no effort to bridge the language barrier, offer real assistance, or even show concern beyond the most basic reaction. I was left to deal with everything on my own in an unfamiliar country. This experience was deeply frustrating and disappointing. I expected a safe environment and basic support from the staff — neither of which was provided. I strongly recommend that other travelers, especially international visitors, look elsewhere. Your safety and peace of mind are not guaranteed here.

Would not stay again, overpriced, damaged, design without common sense. The room was probably same size as a NY apartment closet. One night ~$300. We were always happy with our stay at Marriott's hotels, however this was an extremely disappointing stay and experience.
