Acacia Court Hotel

This hotel is ok for an overnight stay as it's close to the airport if you have a late arrival. Presently undergoing renovations, the rooms are very good value as the tariff also includes breakfast. Situated on the esplanade in a great position overlooking the water.

Very disappointing stay — definitely not a 4-star hotel. The room was old and run down, with furniture and fixtures barely holding together. The reception area felt neglected, and there were several parts of the hotel clearly no longer in use. I did not feel safe staying here, especially with groups of drunk people screaming and making noise late into the night. There is absolutely no way this hotel should be rated as 4 stars.

We went in property for 8 night but we could not make it so we only stayed 6 night in which 1 day we stayed whole day on hotel room as rest. Visiting cairns was our dream but Acacia hotel made it worst. Internet too bad, I asked to receptionist to find any solution for it And she replied to me to use WiFi at lobby where you can smell like hospital. Breakfast like average. Television in the room was back to 90 with no cable. In this age tv without smart. No microwave in room. No power plug near to bed. Bed light was vintage and horror part was it fell on me at night while I was trying to switch it on. I tried to use toilet near to reception while I was at breakfast, horror thing was it was too dirty full of……..everywhere. Maintenance work is everywhere, you will feel like staying at construction house. One night at 4 AM fire alarm got tiggerred and we all were out. Fire department came and guy from hotel said to enter to room without solving the issue and there was not any sorry to bother our sweet night. Please don’t stay at this building. You going to regret like us.
