Wonderful, quaint hotel, beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, the shower was amazing. Wonderful staff pleasant and accommodating. Except at checkout ; I used their off to the side lobby Private restroom. The horror! The desk clerk clearly wasn't happy and told me so with her choice words. Although at check in the staff gleefully directed my travel companion to that very same sacred space.Travelers Beware entering this room! Other than that, simply a great place to stay! Enjoy 😊
Although the neighborhood is very quiet, the hotel's acoustics are not great. I stayed 8 nights, and during 4 of them, I was either awakened in the middle of the night (1 or 2am) or kept awake past midnight by noise from other hotel guests. The first time it happened, I called the desk and at first I was told I must be imagining it because there were no other guests on my floor, which was not true. After I called a second time, he did help. Patricia, the day time concierge, is very helpful and pleasant. The night-time staff not as much. On this 3 week trip, I stayed at stayed at 6 other hotels, in 3 different cities, and I didn't have a problem anywhere else. I also saw a mouse in the bar lobby area. I will not be returning.
We were hoping for a lovely stay to celebrate a birthday but this place was anything but. It was a total disaster. Before booking it was confirmed to us that all beds in the properly were 150cm, but it wasn’t the case. The one in our room was 135cm, and the room was tiny. When we arrived we were told we had been given an upgrade… elated we took the key and went to the room, walked in only to find another couple sitting on the bed. We went back to reception to be told that they had messed up the booking, and that we couldn’t have the upgrade. We then raised the issue about the bed size before the man behind the desk proceeded to shout and swear at me. His behaviour was disgustingly. I left the reception feeling very threatened, and went to the room. When I returned the receptionist clearly realised how disgusting his behaviour had been, before trying his best to offer us freebies. If you want to stay in noisy, tiny rooms and spoken to in a disgusting manner, this place is for you. If not, I’d suggest staying anywhere else!
