Acanto Playa del Carmen Trademark Collection by Wyndham

My husband and I had a wonderful stay this past week. The location was central to the beach, nightlife, and attractions. The unit was very spacious with a large bedroom and living room/kitchen area. We like quiet so were a bit wary with our rooms facing the street since the neighborhood is lively. However, we were surprised for this not to be a problem for us at all since the windows were pretty good at muting any street noises. We did use the background noise function on a smartphone which we often use when traveling. The common spaces are pretty and comfortable and the view from the roof was beautiful, especially the sunrise over the water. We cannot leave a review without mentioning Miguel who was the heart and soul of the resort. He was incredibly kind and always took time to immediately assist with anything we needed throughout our stay. He was always giving us insider tips and patiently helping me with my Spanish. He is truly lovely and we’re glad to have met him and to stay here.

Loved the personal touch that other wise goes missing at the “all-inclusive”. Jose and Miguel were nothing but exceptional and the place was fantastic — recomendaciones, organizing Cozumel, and the whole 9 yards. Loved the rooftop and would not hesitate to return here again. Perfect location next to an excellent coffee shop and aguachiles delicious restaurant. Muchas gracias par todo

Closed my account on TripAdvisor forever based on their provider bias. This is what they tried to censor: PROS: 1) Location - 75 yards south of 5th Ave; 2) Design: Rooms encircle a courtyard. One half is the breakfast courtyard. Other half is the pool; 3) Pool: Deep enough for lengths (10+ yards); 4) Staff: Friendly, helpful (except breakfast service lady); MINUSES: Bed: Hardest I have come across since I was on death row; Couch: Like American Airlines basic economy; Room: Dingy, inadequate lighting; Room: Rickety, low quality furniture; Breakfast: Inadequate. Only one hot item (boiled egg) every day; Breakfast: Scheduled tine, too late (08:00). But opened late!
