We had such a great stay at the Ace Hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything felt easy, stylish, and welcoming. A special thank you to Freddy at the front desk, he was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the start. It’s the kind of hospitality that really sticks with you. We also loved stopping by Stumptown Coffee every morning, the girls working there were so sweet and always had great energy. Amazing coffee, too! The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless, you can tell housekeeping takes great pride in their work. Everything felt clean and fresh, which makes a huge difference in a hotel stay. Sure, the building has some wear here and there , it’s part of what gives it character, though a few minor touch-ups wouldn’t hurt. But honestly, the cool vibe, excellent service, and thoughtful touches throughout more than made up for it. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great experience, Ace!
Took my daughter and two friends to visit. Had a great stay at the Ace. Phenomenal location and a great vibe. The rooms were well appointed, and the price was reasonable. The downstairs lobby is great - I only wish the bar/restaurant was open all day. The only other complaint was the gym equipment was dated except for a peloton tread which was out of service. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.
I’ve stayed at the Ace Hotel NYC a few times in the past and always had a great experience, but this visit was shockingly bad. The first room I was given smelled like actual urine, which was completely unacceptable. Thankfully, Freddie at the front desk was kind, apologetic, and quickly got me moved to another room. His professionalism was the only bright spot of my stay. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. I found hair on the shower curtain, a sticky TV remote, and a used glass that had been left in the hallway outside my door for over 24 hours. There were visible stains on the lampshade and even one of the pillowcases. The water didn’t drain properly in the shower, and worst of all, the toilet made loud noises every 10 minutes all night. I barely slept because of how disruptive it was. I’ve come to Ace in the past for its vibe and cool design, but this time it felt neglected, dirty, and totally off-brand. For the price, I expect basic cleanliness and functioning amenities. This was far from that. Our office staff stays here frequently when we have to come into the office, but we definitely won't be back after this experience.
