Achat Hotel Monschau

This is a very nice hotel along the Laufenstraße. Highly recommended especially if you’re using the bus, as it is only a 5 minute walk from the bus stop; very accessible if you are with a person with limited mobility. The hotel is very clean and the room is fairly large, and the beds comfortable. Very nice bathroom with tub. The soap is classy and fragrant. Breakfast selection is very good and European high standard, complete with several choices of bread, fruits, cheeses, meats, and fresh fruit drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, and would recommend to friends.

The hotel has a great location, very close to the city center. The staff was very friendly, although a bit confused at times. The room and bathroom were very clean, which we appreciated. Parking was a bit limited, so we used a nearby hotel’s parking. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was off despite the heat, so we had to open the window. That let in a lot of noise from the café below the room and motorcycles on the street, making it hard to sleep. Overall, for the price, the stay felt a bit overpriced considering the discomfort.

A hotel with many imperfections and high price. There’s a bad small in the hallway on floor 5. Despite the four star rating the hotel offers elevator is not working, rooms air conditioning also doesn’t work. The shower is designed badly and the whole bathroom since after normal shower the room was humid till next morning. Parking is okay. Location is also good (an easy 5 minute walk to the centre) Also cleaning of the rooms was not done well which we found out after we found someone’s else belt under our bed. It’s okay but has place for many improvements.
